William Cooper
Milton William Cooper · Bill Cooper
The shortwave broadcaster who mapped Mystery Babylon behind every institution.
Foundational radio-era transmitter — brought solar/astro symbolism decoding into the shortwave and militia-radio tradition.
William Cooper spent the 1990s transmitting, via shortwave, the case that ancient solar symbolism had never gone underground — that it ran the institutions openly, to those who knew how to read the signs. A U.S. Navy veteran turned broadcaster, Cooper produced the Mystery Babylon radio series: episode by episode, he walked listeners through the solar and zodiacal substrate of religion, the esoteric grammar of the great seal, and the initiatic logic of the degrees. His Behold a Pale Horse (1991) became one of the most-read books in the tradition. Cooper taught that the researcher’s first obligation is rigorous personal verification — a methodological discipline he modeled, and passed on, in every broadcast.
Core claims
- Cooper taught, in his *Mystery Babylon* series, that a 'Mystery Religion' of ancient Babylon runs continuously through secret societies to the present day.
- In Cooper's framework, much of institutionalized religion is solar worship in allegorical dress: God's 'Sun' resurrected at the spring equinox, Easter services facing east, the zodiac and its decans.
- Cooper taught the zodiacal and solar substrate of the calendar, holidays, and church architecture, arguing that initiates encoded this knowledge while hiding it from congregants.
- Cooper's standing injunction to his listeners: 'Read everything, listen to everyone, but believe nothing until you can prove it with your own research.'

- Cooper traced the 'God's Sun / Son of God' solar wordplay through scripture, equinox sunrise services, and the architectural orientation of cathedrals toward the rising sun.
- Cooper decoded Stanley Kubrick's *2001: A Space Odyssey* as an initiatic document, reading the monolith and the star-child sequence through mystery-school symbolism.
- Cooper taught that the great seal imagery on the dollar bill — the pyramid, the all-seeing eye, *Novus Ordo Seclorum* — encodes the blueprint of the Mystery Religion's intended world order.
