Follow the Eye
The watching eye, from a Pharaoh's amulet to the logo on your screen.
Start where the watching eye begins — the falcon eye of Horus, worn as protection on the bodies of the Egyptian dead.
The same eye re-opens in the Renaissance as the Eye of Providence, and is set, in 1782, above an unfinished pyramid.
Follow it onto the money: the Great Seal decoded part by part, the eye still watching from the dollar in your pocket.
Then watch it step into broadcast — the network that literally calls itself the Eye, an Egyptian amulet redrawn as a corporate mark.
And once you can name it, it is everywhere — a media conglomerate's staring eye, the oldest symbol hiding in the newest logo.
