Peter Joseph
Director of Zeitgeist — the film that carried astrotheology to a billion screens.
Mass-media transmitter — his Zeitgeist trilogy brought the Jordan Maxwell / D.M. Murdock astrotheology thesis to a global internet audience, triggering a wave of renewed interest across the whole lineage.
Peter Joseph made a film in 2007 that no one in the tradition had managed before: he took the astrotheology thesis — the dense, citation-heavy argument running from Dupuis and Graves through Massey and Maxwell — and cut it into ninety minutes of free online video. Zeitgeist: The Movie’s opening section, “The Greatest Story Ever Told,” maps the Gospel narrative onto the zodiac and the solar cycle, frame by frame. Joseph stated directly in a recorded interview that Jordan Maxwell was the lifeblood of that section; D.M. Murdock served as consultant and co-produced The Zeitgeist Sourcebook. The result was a transmission event: a lineage that had moved through books, lectures, and shortwave radio suddenly had a billion-view internet document. Nearly every conversation about astrotheology after 2007 passes through this film.
Core claims

- Joseph stated in a recorded interview that 'the lifeblood of the movie is none other than Jordan Maxwell,' directly crediting Maxwell as the primary inspiration for Zeitgeist Part 1.
- Joseph used D.M. Murdock (Acharya S) as a primary consultant and source for the film's religion section, and co-produced The Zeitgeist Sourcebook with her.
